What we set

EduQan sets a small number of cookies, all of them necessary for the site to work. There is no advertising network, no analytics vendor and no tracking pixel, which is why you have not been asked to accept anything.

| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime | |---|---|---| | eq_session | Keeps you signed in. Holds a signed token, not your details. | Until it expires or you sign out | | eq_sso_state | Protects a single sign-on handshake against being replayed by somebody else. | 10 minutes | | eq_theme | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark console. | 1 year |

Why there is no banner

UK and EU rules require consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary. Every cookie above is strictly necessary — you cannot sign in without the first, cannot sign in *safely* without the second, and the third only remembers a choice you made yourself. We set nothing you could meaningfully decline, so asking would be theatre.

If that changes, this page changes first, and it will carry a new version and date.

What we do not set

No advertising identifiers. No cross-site tracking. No third-party analytics. We do not sell or share browsing behaviour, because we do not collect it.

Clearing them

Any browser can delete cookies for a site. Doing so signs you out and forgets your theme; nothing about your learning record is stored in a cookie, so nothing is lost. (rewritten)
